| Marleen Williams, RN LNCC- President 2012 Marleen has been working as an LNC for 15 years and joined the Jacksonville Chapter in 2000. She has held the position of Membership Chairman and Secretary for the Jacksonville Chapter for many years and is now the President Elect. She has worked both plaintiff and defense positions. She currently is a full time in-hourse LNC for a Plaintiff firm. She has over 40 years in the nursing professions in positions involving acute care [ICU, IV therapy, Infection Control, Recovery Room, ER, Mental Health] employee health, QA/Risk management, home health, nursing administration, nursing home, and state prison. Marleen is an RN from a Diploma School in North Georgia. She has a current license in Risk Management and is active in reviews for the State Board of Nursing. She obtained her Legal Nurse Consultant Certification in 2008. |
| Geri Johnson, RN BSN LNCC - 2012 President Elect Geri has worked as a Consultant in the legal arena since 1969 and was a founding member of the National AALNC since 1989. She has served on the National Committee for Continuing Education and the National Nominating Committee. Geri was a founder of the Jacksonville Chapter, acting as President, and developed the curriculum, taught, and moderated an online Legal Nurse Consulting course for University of North Florida. In 1999, Geri co-authored several publications for the American Associations of Legal Nurse Consultants. Geri is an RN and holds a BSN from the University of North Florida. She was chosen Member of the Year for the AALNC 2006 and selected as Great 100 Nurses of Northeast Florida from the FNA in 2000. She has many years of service as a consultant for the State Board of Nursing, as well as a the Florida Department of Professional Regulation. |
| Maureen Orr, RN LNCC - Secretary 2012 Maureen has been a legal nurse consultant since 1988 and a charter member of the National AALNC in 1989. She was a founding member of the Miami Chapter as well. She joined the Jacksonville Chapter in 2006 and has held a position on the Board of Directors, most currently as Secretary for two years. Maureen has been an RN since 1965, graduating from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, Johnstown, PA. Later, she obtained her BSN. She has a vast of experience in ICU, NICU, Public Health, Insurance, and Case Management. Maureen has worked overseas as a Nurse Advisor in Nha Trang, Vietnam teaching to Vietnamese nurses. She also workin in Columbia, South America teaching child birth classes to expectant parents. Since 2005, Maureen has worked wtih the Florida Department of Education as a case manager for workers' compensation cases while continuing independent work. |
